How to ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you.
Your right to deletion
The registration service for Utsav 2.0 is operated by Adepts Advanced Solutions in support of JCI India Zone 26. You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you from this website and its registration system, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
How to request deletion
Choose whichever is easiest:
- By email — send a message to zonecon@jciindiazone26.com with the subject “Delete my data”, from the email address you registered with, telling us the name and mobile number you used. We may ask one or two questions to confirm it is really you before we act.
- To stop WhatsApp messages only — reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us. This ends the messages; email us if you also want your other data deleted.
What we delete
On a verified request, we delete the personal data associated with you — your name, email address, mobile number, LO / chapter and designation, your contact-form messages, and your WhatsApp opt-in — from our active systems.
What we must keep, and why
We are required to retain certain payment and invoice records for the period set by Indian tax and company law (generally up to eight years), so we cannot delete those before that period ends. We keep only what the law requires, we stop using it for any other purpose, and we delete it once the retention period is over. Card, UPI and bank details are held by our payment gateway, Razorpay — not by us — and are governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.
How long it takes
We aim to action verified deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm by email once it is done. If anything must be retained for the legal reason above, we will tell you what and for how long.
